Attended a Motorcycle Club convention here in 1987..about 40 of us took the whole place. Had a great time for 3 days, my wife and I were married at a little "Church in the Pines" just down the road..rustic ranch style living with friendly staff ! We're going back in late July for our 30th Anniversary trip on the way to the Cheyenne Frontier Rodeo...Yippy kai Yay.
Great spot, first stayed here and camped nearby for the summer of 1974! WOW.. where did the time go? Much has changed here as of my last visit in the autumn of 2014. many good times had here and nearby.
We wanted a place to park our RV and ride ATV trails as well as see the area sights. Nemo Guest Ranch was the perfect solution. Troy, the owner, made sure that we had everything that we needed and checked up on us many times to see how our stay was going. We stayed for 14 nights and we will definitely be back again. If you're looking for luxury, this is NOT the place. If you're looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, and beauty, come here!
The Nemo Guest Ranch is a beautiful and wonderful campground. The staff is very kind and generous. On a stormy night in December, I was lost in a blizzard leaving Rapid City. I took a wrong turn and found myself in the town of Nemo 35 minutes away. I was unable to see the road due to blowing snow and had no cell phone service in the hills. Troy and Willy welcomed me in and allowed me to use their phone. The storm hindered anyone from coming to my rescue with the blowing snow in the dark. Troy and Willy offered to let me stay the night in one of their luxurious cabins. The action was so generous, I was blown away by their kindness. My eyes welded up with tears. When they brought me to their cabin, it had a fully working fireplace and heated shower. I was so grateful. The cabin slept ten people and had a loft area above the fireplace. I slept in one of the two twin beds in the loft area. They provided me with extra blankets and fireplace kept me warm all night long . It was a wonderful night's stay. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone who wants friendly hospitality and a comfortable sleep. It really makes you feel like your ruffing it in style.
Very relaxing get away, not a better place on earth!
